They aren't my figures, they're the figures published by the Office of National Statistics, as I've pointed out numerous times. Here's some more for you; the average household income in the UK (published in January 2023), which is £32,300. Not individual person, the overall household: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/personalandhouseholdfinances/incomeandwealth/bulletins/householddisposableincomeandinequality/financialyearending2022 Your, frankly, stupid example reflects a household income of more than double the national average. 8.3 times £32,300 is £268,090. I live in a 2-bed mid-terrace in lower Bredbury and the 2-bed mid-terrace next door to us sold last year for £10,000 less than that. I'll take the published statistics from the Office of National Statistics than some random bloke on the internet making numbers up to suit his argument. |
