But it seems the countries being stricter about shutting down are having the least economic hit too.
South Korea projecting a 1.2% reduction to their GDP, but 7% in Sweden. It's just hard for most leaders to square that with their capitalist mindset. Given the choice between 7% downturn or 1.2%, Trump and Johnson would choose the latter, yet here they are itching to lift restrictions because of worries about economic damage!
