Apologies if I'm misrepresenting you, but see linked post. That's what's pissed me off, probably more than it should have. But it does annoy me when ex-pats slag off this country and ignore the shortcomings of their new one, In most cases it's either because they just aren't aware of what's happening in their new country (the danger of which you've acknowledged elsewhere), or because they've changed circumstances for the better. It's not hard to enjoy life more when you've finished work and living in a more pleasant area. But it doesn't follow that the new country is somehow greatly superior.
