I am curious after the abdication. Is the present palace at Amalienborg 'her' palace or is this reserved for the monarch's use, i.e., does she have to move to one of the other 4 palaces? Does QM receive the same accomodations as her mother, e.g., residence at Grasten, Chancellery at Fredensborg, etc?
However, I don't think Queen Margrethe will retire but serve in a limited role or as needed like her mother, Queen Ingrid. Previous Message

I'm shocked and surprised and then again I'm not. I am shocked because I didn't expect it nor saw it coming.
But with people living much longer it does make sense.
