My view is he remains in his position in the line of succession.
Removal would require legislation, but he might be having to consider renouncing his right.
I don't think he can just renounce that right. It would require an AOP to make it legal.Of course his succession would be out of the question so if that appeared in any way likely legislation would soon follow.
The line of succession does concern other realms.
I am really curious to see if any change is being attempted in this regard.
