It's not "modernization" that brings crowds out for royal occasions. We'll see if King Charles's ideas of innovation are in line with those which some of this board seem to favor. I have my doubts. The initial social media reports of the episode are not ageing well.
Exactly so. Some hereabouts have a conveniently short "memory" (IOW, a dishonest narrative..) about the 11 plus million that turned out in the streets just months ago for a jubilee. Then the millions that turned out for the funeral. Then the millions that will turn out once more for a very *traditional* coronation come 2023. The haters of tradition and thus by definition of the monarchy itself, are just the sideline trash-talkers throwing mud at an institution that has stood the test of time far longer than any hater of any generation.
