I'm hoping the new Social worker will be more helpful than the last one. The last one mentioned moving into assisted living but I've been to several of those places and can't imagine living in one of them. You can own very little. No pets. Maybe a plant or two. At least now I can brighten my day for an hour or so riding my scooter outside on the property. And once you move into one of those places you are stuck there for life unless a relative takes you in and these days that's not likely since everyone is busy, working and has a life of their own.
I agree with everything you posted.
I am really miserable living under these conditions. Jane is also and it looks like my son is starting to stress out as well. Donna only comes every two weeks so the place is in more than a need of a cleaning by then. I ask my son to do something, he says, "OK" and it's not done. That broken chair is still sitting in the dining-room. There are almost always dirty dishes in the sink.
I'm miserable living like this but have little choice as I see it. I will be less stressed once this issue with the bills and money is dealt with.
