If that is your opinion then why do you visit this board. Which is totally dedicated to what you call 'outdated and 'no longer necessary'?
Hello, Karen.
Do you not believe one can appreciate the British monarchy as an institution with a rich and impactful history while recognizing that at present it is merely a shadow of what it once was?
Have you ever considered there are all sorts of folks who are endlessly fascinated by many of history's enduring oddities as irrelevant as they may be today?
If you can imagine such people exist, is it your assumption they do not belong here? Is the expectation that contributors hold the same dewey-eyed notions about the monarchy or about King Charles?
If you consider other posts I've contributed, you will see that I do very much appreciate Charless plans, and I also like his wife a great deal as well as the Wales family and hope there is still a monarchy for them to inherit. I see the monarchy as a relic, but that does not mean I am saying it needs go away. To acknowledge the monarchy's diminished importance over time is simply being realistic, but aren't most relics also considered interesting and valuable to those who know their history?
