I have noticed a new variation (at least to me) of the Hy-Lo lantern. I have seen plenty of the two traditional HY-LO globe plates and guard wires, but I two examples with the old style globe plate with cross over wire guards like the Monarch's and other lanterns with interchangable plates. On the first one I came across I thought someone switched the plate out, but the second one has a thumb loop wire on the left tube and a matching loop on the globe plate for lifting.
Anyone out there know any thing about this variation?
