With the king in his mid 80's and having had some very serious health issues over the last few years is there any discussion in Norway about abdication or is it simply not a topic discussed? Previous Message
The Scandinavian and the UK monarchs don't abdicate (Edward VIII being an exeption). If the Monarch is to ill to perform his/her duties, the heir/ess can step in.
