There are so many stories about this unfolding tragedy in reputable Canadian and US media, even just days ago in the the Wall Street Journal (Jan.5). Canada's CBC, the Vancouver Sun, and others have reported extensively, and one can read public apologies from Canada's Catholic hierarchy, as well as the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate who ran some of the schools designed to separate indigenous children from their cultural heritage and turn them into Anglo- or French- speaking Christians. Only just now the flow of documents from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation to the Canadian government is underway.

Denying and trivializing the grievances and life experience of the First Nations people is the most prominent form of racism in Canada. The publication cited above - the mouthpiece of a shadowy “charity,” - has consistently engaged in anti-indigenous peoples themes, along with its recurring obsession with Hitler and the Nazis, Russian conservatism, gun ownership rights, Christian Zionism, defense of Putin and his propaganda machine, etc.
