Previous Message clear acts of violence against the Catholic Church (be it in it's officials, buildings or artworks) are occurring throughout France so must have a more widespread origin.
Widespread actions don't even require much conspiring or coordinating nowadays. An infuriating story of abuse or corruption is instantly consumed by many thousands, and all it takes is a dozen or two of those folks to go out and target something/someone they associate with the evil-doer.
