The opposite of loyal isn't disloyal. There are varying levels of loyalty.

I have a season ticket, but don't go to many aways. I don't attend Papa John Trophy games either and don't intend to!

Someone who goes to every home and away game is more loyal than me, and more deserving of a ticket to Salford away in the playoffs than me, but that doesn't make me disloyal!

There may well be many valid reasons why people can't attend as often as they would like, but that shouldn't mean you cannot reward fans who watch a higher number of games.

The Club has 5,500 season ticket holders now, there are probably another 2,000 who watch every home game, so when you only have an allocation of 500 tickets for Salford away, how can you allocate those fairly?

To me, it makes sense to prioritise those that attended more away games. If you've gone to places like Colchester, Gillingham, Barrow, Wimbledon, etc that has to count for something? Also why not include Papa John Trophy games too?

That doesn't mean everyone else is excluded, just that those that attend more have first dibs.

With regard to locking out younger fans, the problem with traditional loyalty schemes is that fans can build up points over many years. A younger fan could watch us home and away, but they would never catch up the number of points.

My idea to prevent that happening, is to look at points over the last 3 seasons. It rewards more recent loyalty, rather than rewarding fans who have attended years ago.

Of course, attendance would need to be linked to the individual fan, not the person who has bought tickets for the group for any scheme like this to work.

    Just my thoughts.

The Club at present are looking to favour season ticket holders, which is understandable from a commercial perspective, but there are too many (5,500 and maybe more next season), so how do you differentiate when tickets are in short supply?
