Hi Les: I'm sorry if I've led you down a garden path in regards to the yellow Dietz lanterns. Somehow I got the name of Federal yellow in my head in regards to the Dietz shade of yellow, but I cannot recall where I got that. I will say my factory-painted yellow Little Giant and Monarch are definitely a little darker yellow then the newer No 100 and 110, and the Night Watch appears to be significantly darker to my eyes. I see a Safety yellow on the Internet that might be close to the newer Dietz yellow. I'm sorry I can't be more help. Please keep us updated on your research.
