I am pointing out that some people use hackneyed phrases such as 'woke', 'leftie', et al, thus preferring invective to reasoned argument.
Many people on the right of politics would like to think that all our problems would be solved if we had no immigration. There is currently doing the rounds on social media a very interesting picture of the England footy line up, with the names of those players who, from background and/or parentage, could be classed as immigrants; the names of these players have been faded out, to show how we rely on these players, thus saying where would we be without immigration.
From your use of the aforementioned cliches I guess that you are on the right politically. As your nom de plume is Down Under Hatter, my understanding is that you live in Australia and have indeed resided there for a very long time. I was just wondering what your views on immigration were? Are they reasoned, or do you fall into the simplistic 'Stop the boats' category?
