    Why do you think it is worse in the US? At least they’ve had a black president and about to get a black vice-president. How close have we come to a black PM?

    It is highlighted more there as their police have guns. We have stop and search which is still incredibly biased towards searching young black men. If our police had guns I suggest we would have similar outcomes.

    There is racism in all countries, casual, overt and institutional. Highlighting a handful of successful black sportsmen shouldn’t gloss over prejudice that has to be overcome.

    I will agree that poor, white males are some of the most disadvantaged in society but I would argue that that is due to poverty and a lack of government interest in genuinely levelling up. The gap between the have and have nots increases continually which, in turn, leads to prejudice and resentment. Hence we got Brexit, Trump, Bolsonaro, Johnson, Orban, Erdogan, etc.
