    Racism in the US and UK is quite different I think - black people face many more hurdles in the US than they do here. In the UK I believe our society is much less racist now than it ever has been - equal opportunities do generally exist and there is a framework of laws here that ensures it. Despite this there still seems to be plenty of voices highlighting how disadvantaged racial minorities are - amongst them ,and to my mind rather hypocritically , are members of the privileged metropolitan elites , champagne socialists and millionaire black footballers and racing drivers , who despite "endemic" racism seem to have done ok. I think if you research it you might find that young , white working class males probably form the most disadvantaged group in our society. Not many voices raised in their favour however.
