That’s different. Concentration camps have been turned into museums to tell the stories of those atrocities. They serve as an actual reminder of what happened that people visit for educational purposes. They aren’t slap bang in the middle of towns and cities where people go about their daily lives.
A statue erected hundreds of years after the fact simply to honour someone is not the same. These statues can go into museums where they can serve an educational purpose.
