I understand the removal of the statue, but what about all the buildings he funded the building of in Bristol? Should they all be knocked down? They are far more visible than a lump of metal tucked away somewhere. The prosperity of Liverpool, Bristol and no doubt lots of other places in this Country was built on the back of the slave trade. How do these places atone in this modern age for wrongs done by citizens hundreds of years ago? Money? If so how much and who too?
