I just don't get how something essentially so positive can be frowned upon so much. Celebrating one of this countries finest achievements at a time when many are so low and need a lift can only be a good thing? Same with the clapping on a thursday. Even if only one NHS staff appreciates the lift it's worth 2 minutes of my time. It's difficult to believe just a few weeks ago there was an entire thread berating it. Vanity my arse. On the flip side there's thousands of people who enjoyed yesterday responsibly who absolutely needed that. You and me may be coping well but others would have embraced yesterday. It certainly picked me up. Even Colonel Tom got his own thread of miserable, sceptical cynicism ffs.
