It's relevant only to the extent that it is a small illustration of how much of the discussion is deteriorating into the usual hysterical partisan bullshit. e.g. concentrating on who has and hasn't apologised to who about what etc. It's a dismal level of discourse.
I'll reserve judgement on the original story until more facts are known and I've heard each side of the story. For example, it could be that a Turkish manufacturer has over promised and Turkish govt is helping them out of a hole.
Hysterical reactions to every bit of information helps nobody, and it certainly doesn't encourage opennness and honesty from politicians.
Leaving aside the Turkish shipment, the exports from Britain just baffles me. i wouldn't be surprised if there was more to that story as well. How hard can it be to link up NHS procurement/logistics with these companies?
