There is far too much emotion in the call to finish the season, of course we all want that to happen, but it just doesn't make sense on an economic, logistical or moral level.
My prediction is on Friday we will pass 17,000 deaths due to Coronavirus, this is a very significant number, it is the point, statistically speaking, where everyone in the country will know at least a friend of a friend who has died.
Any desire for games to be played behind closed doors is frankly abhorrent to me. Football without Fans is not something we should seek, ever, but that is just my feeling on it; reality kicks in when the Stadium/Travel/Accommodation/ costs go out the window and no income comes in through the gate.
In Germany their plans. and who argues with Germqn planning, include 250 minimum to operate a match behind closed doors uf ut is to be broadcast.
Police in this country can no longer charge the Club to secure the Stadium "Footprint" but only what they do inside ground.
The idea of no fans turning up is fanciful. Police will not grant a safety license unless they are paid, and maybe not even then.
