I've been unsure about this but I'm sure what I read the other day concurred with this - that the scientific establishment had been postulating a herd immunity response to a pandemic for some years. And so taht is how we started - until presumably the modelling showed that that wasn't going to work ion this case (presumably because virus too vicious).
Anyway, point is that whilst it is a good story, it is nothing to do with Dominic Cummings (however cackhandedly he may have presented the policy in discussions). Have I got that right? It's an important point I feel in terms of blaming government.
That hospital in London looks fantastic by the way - great job there. Shame we seem to have cocked up the testing capability.
