I can't get my head around the numbers.
Every single death is a tragedy for someone, whether that be by flu virus, Corona Virus, road death, etc.
They said on the news that people have now stopped dying in China. They then said that Italy's death toll of c3,500 now exceeds the number who have died in China.
I think someone on here stated t'other day that we lose on average 8,000 people per year from the flu virus (I was staggered by this number. I had no idea).
If this virus is going to sadly kill between 2 and 5 thousand people in the UK (hopefully considerably lesser than the bottom number of course) then are we just over-reacting in a massive way.
In short I'm in danger of coming round to SCB's way of thinking (as well as a number of people I know on Facebook).
