Yeah. Their statement seems to blame process rather than evidence.
I won’t hold my breath, because CAS have made some strange rulings in the past (they exonerated PSG, for example), but if the ban is upheld, it will be good for the game.
More broadly for City, if that happens it’ll spell real trouble for them - not only in terms of probably losing their best players, but a huge drop in revenue too. The numbers already don’t stack up, as this case shows. If they’re in a situation where they lose £100m a season for two years, their hefty, long contracts become even more problematic.
