I bought my first house three streets away from Edgeley Park in 1992. I knew the ground was there. I knew there would be thousands of people knocking about the streets and pubs on a Friday night or Saturday afternoon. The council introduced a parking scheme which wasn't the best but it was ok.

My house was also a couple of doors away from a chippy. I couldn't do anything about the chip wrappers in my front yard.
