Wonderful water views and being so close to the ocean. I will always miss it. We walked to the beach from Grandma's house in Coney Island and from my first home in Sea Gate and we were one block from the beach in Rockaway, on the third floor of a garden apartment with a view of the ocean from the kitchen window. Here, I am up high enough to see across the Valley and to the sometimes snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains which are probably 40-50 miles away. But the ocean is special.
