Re: Shark Week - Nancy
I don't have an actual view of the water but it's only up the block. There is a large pier at the end of one of the larger canals into the bay. When I need a "fix", I'll often park myself there for a short time. It is like a roadway into the bay, that at this time of year, has a continuous parade of sea craft of every size coming and going. There is also a fueling station and restaurant that boaters will stop at. The people on the various craft in the canal are so close and have to go slow not to stir up too much of a wake that you can shout out or wave to them. Once they reach the end of that pier, the motors will start to roar and they are out of sight before you know it. While there have always been a few people fishing or crabbing off the side of the pier..I noticed more family groups than the loners this year doing it. I chose this town because it reminded me of my youth in Sheepshead Bay.
