Re: Living With The Virus. - Carol
Cancer is a fickle disease and is often unpredictable. Some people are lucky and others not. I knew a man who had been given only a few months to live and I called him a miracle man 25 years later..another who was diagnosed with a type of cancer that is usually very treatable and he was gone within three weeks. I knew a woman who was diagnosed at 50 but her beliefs didn't allow treatment, she lived to be 95. Another who had a melanoma mole on her neck, she didn't make it. A couple of younger women who underwent extraordinary treatments, far beyond the norm, that robbed them of quality time they might have still had left, fruitless. A doctor can only give an average prognosis of how it will most likely progress.
