Sometimes people feel like they're just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's always in the back of the cancer person's mind. Around 80% of cancers do return though they can keep us alive longer with the drugs they have now. Sometimes we survive a second or even third go-around and sometimes we don't. Sometimes we can't get rid of cancer the first time around. I lost that friend Deborah I had in TN to breast cancer. Nothing stopped it. She suffered for 2 years and finally passed away. Another woman I knew up there lived with BC for about 11 years. She finally gave up and chose palliative care over endless painful or sickening treatments.
You probably know by now that there are hundreds of types of cancer caused by numerous mutations.... it took a real evil entity to create cancer.
I can well imagine what is going through her mind.
