Thus I assume the new tradition is the royal standard fly over both Buckingham Palace and Clarence House while he is in residence in London, and is only lowered when he is in residence in one of the other palaces.
Thank you Karen. I had the sane thoughts but then thought … no way . I guess the new reign brings new ways of doing things !
It seems this a totally new thing. The King is in two places during the day. He and the Queen are in residence (living) at Clarence House and the King is working up at 'The Big House' during the day. The Royal Standard would continue fly over Clarence House, but also for the duration he is in Buckingham Palace. That's the only way I can explain why it would happen.
