If the duchess is serious about a political career it should be made clear to her that in that scenario she can no longer refer to herself as Duchess of Sussex but would have to become miss and potentially senator Markle. Members of reigning constitutional European monarchies don't become active elected politicians. It might be the right moment for the UK government to pass a law taking away the titles of Harry and possibly Andrew. It would also be smart to exclude both men from the line of succession and they might opt to exclude Harry's offspring.
