Since she is legally Princess Louise, she does not fall under the perimeters of the Queen's 1960(?) LP giving the surname Mountbatten-Windsor to her descendants who are not prince/princess. Therefore when the decision was made to style her (and James) differently than their royal titles, they named the style as Lady Louise Windsor (no "of" in any of it).
Why does she remains Lady Louise of Mountbatten-Windsor instead of taking the Edinburgh surname ?
Good news, well deserved.
