Most of us here live all the tradition , complication with titles , who inherits what under which circumstances...we like the " silly old rules "...naturally that doesn't mean for one second that we don't recognise the need for chance ...we love history and history constantly changes ...in 200 years time the heir to the throne might be Mr/Miss XXX of Wales

The fact is that the title Earl of Wessex will become non royal in the next generation when James inherits it. The same would happen if Edward was given the Dukedom of Edinburgh. It would become non royal when James inherited it. This will happen with the Kent and Gloucester titles when the present holders depart. So your arguement of all these royal titles is redundent.
