But I don't think she is pleased with have called most of her staff (which is small) back from holiday to prepare for this rather grand affair, especially that it is not more than a month ago that Trump forced her to invite him by announcing out of the blue that he intended to visit Denmark.
But only a few hours after the announcement she was "surprised" (Very strong wording in the Diplomatic world), she announced that she would take up the engagements she had cancelled because of the self-invitation by Trump.
Chequer - I can assure you there was no intention to offend the Queen. From what I've read about Trump, he absolutely likes royalty and loves meeting with them. I doubt that the Queen was offended. She has been on the throne long enough to have seen and heard it all. The Prime Minister owes her an apology. It was her job as a top official/diplomst to assure that everything went off smoothly and she failed her sovereign. But, if I may, if the Queen did take offense, I have no problem offering an apology.
Mildred, by his conduct Trump has insulted the Queen of Denmark. Unforgivable.
