Lantern marked DHO

I found this on the weekend. The DHO is Department of Highways Ontario.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me what the model is and approximately when and where it was made. I assume it was used in the 50s and 60s? I don't see any other dates or markings. Paint appears to be original.
