Dietz lanterns made in Hong Kong, or later in mainland China, do not have NY USA on them. So you have an American-made special order.
Fill caps that have only the Dietz logo were made in China, but were imported by Dietz in Syracuse to complete their final productions in 1956 and on special orders after 1956.
