I will bet that you are getting the parafin wax gelling out of the kerosene at your cold temps. I live at high altitudes in the Mtns. of Virginia and we get similar temps here. You might try running your lamp on kero mixed with mineral spirits to keep the parafin in solution or try a diesel fuel conditioner for cold weather. I used to work around a lot of diesel equipment and at very low temps the fuel would gel without an additive. I bet your lamp is having the same problems. Kero in different locations has verying amounts of wax in it and I bet yours is running high and clogging the wick. I would like to know if you try my suggestions and especially if they work. Gary
