Get him starting the way the Club have been raving about him give him a go can't do any worse than what else we have up front we can't keep relying on midfield to score goals it's been very poor upfront goals wise

At the time Barry and Tanto was the right partnership for us, especially given Wootton was unavailable allied with Madden being out of form at the time. But in the summer DC decided to change the way we played and opted to go with Barry wide left and Wootton as the point striker, possibly due to Tanto being out injured. Having Wootton up top brings the best out of the players around him, so DC has decided to stick with it and rightly so.

He chooses to ignore it, hence his recent absence on here when we were winning 5 on the bounce when everything good was going through Wootton.

As soon as the team have a bad game, he's back criticising his chosen scapegoats.

I've said it all season,everyone I speak says the same. It's only a handful on here that thinks he's good enough,I'm sure you look at stockport county's fan's Facebook page I have a look every now and then and I'm sure you've seen comments about wootton and other players

Utter garbage, the vast majority of FB posters are Wootton fans. Its only people who clearly don't understand the role he has within the team that slag him and others off. Especially the ones who seem to have missed the fact that he's scored 1 in every 3 games for County. Suppose its the same people who missed his two early great headed clearances from our own box at Wigan as well !!!!

Nobody disagrees that Wootton could do with scoring a few more though; not one person is having that argument with you.

What we're arguing is that you refuse to acknowledge the other things he brings to the team and have tried claiming he doesn't do some of the things that are his strengths, like winning the ball in the air and bringing other players into the game.

That 5 game winning run epitomised the contribution he makes in that regard, but you had very little to say on here during that period.

I've said to you before, if you don't like the system we play then that's fine, but claiming Wootton isn't effective in the role he's given within that system (beyond just goalscoring) is simply not true.

Flicks the ball he hardly jumps for the ball,barry hasn't been for 2 months,and how many goals was he involved in for his 15 goals.
Tanto only started when barry went,and is being wasted out wide. Diamond has hardly played,and as for collar I'd rather have 2 collars than 1 wootton.
Perhaps others in the team would also have plenty more assits if wootton took his chances

I'm willing to bet good money that the players would rather have Wootton in the team than out of it.

7 goals, 6 assists in 33 games (2645 minutes) meaning a goal contribution every 203 minutes. He wins more aerial duals than just about any of our other players, creates more chances than most our other players and is 2nd top scorer still at the club.

He presses defences in to mistakes, he brings other players in the team in to the game and he works harder than just about any other player we have.

I watched the Cambridge game. We were piss poor all round. But that performance is the exception rather than the rule. And under DC we tend to get a reaction from a poor performance like that and get straight back to winning ways.

Bit harsh on Bungle there.

We needed someone who could finish today. I agree I would have preferred Andresson to come on today as sub. The finishing today was dreadful.
