I can see both sides here, especially with anybody who is lets say “of senior years” he isnt what older people would say a traditional centre forward, he definitely plays left of centre most of the time, and cuts inside, most of his goals come from him bringing the ball in from slightly wider whereas a traditional centre forward would be in the middle waiting for such a player to slide the ball over for him to finish. I think the correct title would be just a forward or even a striker, a lot of sites have called him a left winger as well, and I see why (remember his run for Salford in the play off game) and how many times he has hugged the touchline for us, usually ending up with him still beating players along the goal line as well. So imho, forward-yes, striker-yes, left winger-on occasions, centre forward-mmmm, not traditional. To be honest he is at his best when he is free to do any of them
