Not true.
There are no set rules on how long you can exercise for.
There are just suggestions.
It essentially comes down to "don't take the piss".
A walk up to 1-1.5 hrs long should be about right I'd reckon.
Running/jogging - probably 30-45 minutes.
Cycling - probably 45-60 minutes at the outside.
It is all open to interpretation though.
I probably wouldn't argue with the police, but I'd say they were just making stuff up there. Granted so have I, but I haven't forced people to act on what I just made up.
