On the mine site I was on they bought two MG EV SUVs and installed a couple of charging stations, powered by the grid! 🤣, at various places around the site. It was a test to see if it was viable.

The batteries wouldn't charge due to the temperature so they built gazebos to keep them cool.

It didn't work and they never moved.

They'll never convert the dump trucks, loaders, trains and ships to renewables so I'm a bit sceptical that it's the future.
