Re: Current situation at EP

We haven't lost a game,it has been a disappointing season,so far. But I specifically did not call for Chally out, or any players for that matter. I did point out that there is a plan to prepare the club for a sustainable future "after Stott", As our owner said, he/we can not buy our way into the championship, we have to do it another way which could also potentially take us even further. I don't know how much Sunderland spend on developing their young players or what we spend on developing our own youngsters, but I should think Sunderland are very happy with their return. In the premier and players worth many times those millions. That is the blueprint, but we still have to spend what we/our owner can afford. The question is what can we afford, not what anybody else can afford. The alternative is to spend millions on players, a higher wage bill, players with a shorter shelf life and ultimately less value to the club's bottom line. That is why we have the plan.
