Think it was a combination of Wigan employing a game plan how to beat us. They almost let us have possession in the first half and we didn’t kick on after taking an early lead. I think their plan was to come at us in the second half using their subs. We looked really poor and we were chasing shadows for most of the half.
I agree that the substitutions were baffling but the bench looked quite weak from the off. Diamond looked like the only one with the pace to hit them effectively on the break and I think he should have stayed on to help Woots. But when he got the ball he ran into traffic and was crowded out.
Was glad when the game ended.
