And your right on what you said, But it also offers other uses as well, Because of its size it can reach where others can't,
Going into church pews is one I can come up with, I'm doing a lot of church's, The smaller size will fit into the small area needing to be cleaned, Thats a bonus.
I love the Rx as well, Been using it for over 20 years now, But the cost has also gone to nearly 3,700 for the price these days. Mine are aging really fast.
If the Rx is glided you still need to pre scrub the area being cleaned, If you add up the cost of a 13 inch 175 or god forbid buy a CRB then the cost of what I paid seems cheap, I stole the thing.
You are correct the metal shoes coming close to tile I've already seen to be a problem, I also plan to fix that problem,
I also airpath everything I clean so dry times I think can be fixed with a little creativity, But with the RV only weighing 39 pounds I can run up a flight of stairs with it.
Will it replace the Rx then my answer is no it will not, But under the right conditions I think it will have a chance, If nothing else it's a light weight pre-scrubber, Compared to hauling a 17 inch 175 all around.
I did a town home yesterday, Pain in the A$$ to get equipment into, Stone stairs to begin the start then more stone steps to get into the house then reaching the house you had stairs down or up into the unit, Thank god I had help.
Cut pile nylon white in color traffic areas need help, We hauled the 175 over that mess to get the job done right, PITA to get the machine in there, In cases like this that machine would have shined
I also looked at the Bonzer tool, Copycat of the Zipper, Well built looked nice and easy to use, But you would still be in the same boat of having to pre scrub the carpet
I honestly think in the right locations this tool has credibility its not a one size fits all by any means, This tool will also work nice with the recoil because of the size, I was using the RX for the Recoil this should help with that.
The tiger stripe thing is a concern, Sounds like a clogged jet or two, But we'll see I will look for that in the next couple of weeks, Monday I start putting it to test under different conditons, I post more when I find out what it can do and what to avoid
