Here in Atlantic Canada (Halifax) we are blessed with a volunteer radio station called Seaside FM 105.9. Most if not all are seniors that present real music from back in the day. Host Paul Kennedy in late August dedicated an hour of his four hour show to Jim's centenary. Very well done and had a story of interest after many songs. Of course Paul like most of us here on the Forum grew up in a time where real music and singers understood what quality and talent were all about, and for songs that would last a lifetime.
Radio Fremantle 107.9 (Western Australia) is another station that always promotes Jim's music and legacy. Presenter Geoff Simons dedicated the entire two hour show to Jim's 100th. The show is called Creative Country (every Thursday). I have been listening to this station for many years. I get it 'on line' every week. For those interested you can access the archives link (shows) and listen to any show this past year. Check it out to learn more about Jim's legacy. Geoff included five song requests of mine for this show that I appreciated very much.
Thank you Mike for the heart felt words you shared with us on your post. We could not agree more, and I know I speak for everyone here on the Forum. The picture of Jim you included in almost silhouette is most impressive and appropriate. Thank you for posting !!
