Recently I was looking thru Jim's music catalogue, just to see if anything may be there I have not come across before. On one site I found a statement from someone in Britain who claims to be an expert on Jim's musical history. A guy by the name of Steve Morehead made this statement. Quote..'By 1965, Jim Reeves had more albums available than Elvis Presley and was eventually to accumulate LP sales in excess of 80 million.'
Really don't know what to think about the Elvis claim and the 80 million in LP sales, seems a bit high for the 60's. He does not mention if this represented European sales etc. Can anyone add to this as to it's accuracy. Thanks everyone, please jump in with an answer. Be good to hear from our many friends here on the Forum. It has been much too quiet of late...
