Long story but we didn't wind up with what we originally had in mind, an inexpensive mobile home as a winter retreat. The mobile home idea was put away when we became aware of land rental prices, a bank mortgage hard to get if not impossible on anything older than 15 years and anything newer priced beyond what we'd want to lay out for a mobile home.

We looked at a lot of brick and mortar type condos. I wasn't interested in those that resembled something you see in the city, multiple floors and requiring an elevator or townhouse types with stairs to climb. Views of the parking lot. Many were furnished beautifully" but in styles that were not me, more "showy" than "homey". This place had everything..truly all we would have needed was our toothbrushes. Furniture, linens, silverware, pots and pans, a China closet with a full set of China, glassware, TV all here and more. We've gradually replaced or added things that we liked or preferred but could have existed with what was already here with no problem.
