We started out thinking about one of those Purple mattresses but they are custom made and not stock. The reviews regarding an initial odor and time to settle, a turnoff. George said not to look at the price tags as we tried all sorts of beds but I had already gotten sticker shock and I'm too practical for that. We wound up with a mid-range Beautyrest Pressuresmart Plush Lux which seemed to be a good fit and I got a good nite's sleep
