It's terrible what cancer treatment does to a person, but they are fighting for their life. My daughter has had 10 rounds of chemo so far, and she is pale and has lost half a head of hair. The texture has changed, it's unmanageable, and unless she puts it up she looks like Einstein. She is on steroids as part of the regimen, she has that steroid moon-face, and her eyes are puffy. I wish I could post a picture here, so you could see the beauty she was. But we are fighting for her life.
Back to the boys, I think a lot of the problem was money. She wanted Bob's assets for her sons, and they felt entitled to it. And they wanted it while he was still alive. He helped them when necessary, but they literally asked him to sign over property, which he would not. While there may have been other issues and their mother's influence was strong, I think it was mostly money that caused the anger and estrangement.
